Coming from the north of Sweden, Sofia writes most of her lyrics in Sami, her native language, mixing jazz, pop and yoik influences. In case you're wondering, yoik is a traditional Sami form of song that's very hard to describe in just a few words, except maybe as chanting. The show starts at 7:30 PM with doors at 6:45 PM. Tickets are $10 at the door, and you can reserve a seat by e-mailing houseofsweden (at) foreign.ministry.se. |
